Mike LeMay's challenge

"On June 9, 2014, Mike Lemay (Q90FM's general manager) published an open letter to Pastors in Wisconsin. The details can be seen at the following link: http://standupforthetruth.com/2014/06/open-letter-pastors-wisconsin/

In this open letter, Mike challenges the Pastors in Wisconsin to clearly state what their church believes on "the subject of sexuality and marriage, and make a public proclamation for your members and the community as a whole."

We believe every church should respond to this challenge. To that end, here is our position:

"Our belief at Music of Life Church is that none of the State of Wisconsin's definitions for marriage are biblical. The Bible stated consensual sexual intercourse is marriage. Furthermore, we believe the worst marital sin is to present an unbiblical marriage as from God because it is idolatry."

However, during those years of preaching and pastoring (29yrs), I was not a Christian. I was born again in Phoenix, Arizona, in August 1999 after attending Victorious Living International Counseling Center. I was deceived and lost until I was 48 years old. I preached and taught the bible as a job and for the security it brought. But I was lost and on my way to hell. Yes, "Religious, but Lost!" Now after 14 years, out of ministry, the Lord has called me to be a shepherd of His flock. I accept this in joy, yet in fear and with a sober mind.

In my upbringing, I was always taught that “Jesus is the answer!” However, it wasn’t until I was 25 years old that I made the decision to live my life for our Lord and Savior. My main passion now is to effectively pursue and present understanding…especially the Word of God. The Bible has the answers we need to live a life of purpose…on purpose. I want to help people understand the principles that will help them live a victorious life through Christ.

I was raised in a loving christian home, and accepted Jesus as my personal savior at a young age. Unfortunately, the more time I spent in the church the more I saw the hypocrisy of those that were called "Pastors" and "Leaders" and "Elders" and became disenfranchised with the church. I played music in a band for 7 years, searching for community, and did not find it until my dearest friends in The Deeper Why Ministries taught me about who I was and who God is...my instrument and God's instrument! Now, my mission is to lead with wisdom, and my heart longs to bring people out of their deepest wounds from church, family, past relationships, or traumatic experiences, to see them alive in their God-given destiny.
